FREE CARERS WEEK EVENTS 2017
Are you a Carer needing support? During Carers Week 2017, Chloë Swinton is offering a number of FREE opportunities of support to unpaid Carers in Norwich and Norfolk.
Chloë is a qualified & BACP Registered Counsellor, and has over 20 years professional experience of therapeutically supporting children and adults through uncertainty. She works with Carers who are affected by the ambiguous loss of a loved one who may be physically present, but psychologically absent, for example with a life-limiting illness, dementia, stroke or brain injury.

Free One to One Support Session for Carers - Monday 12th June to Friday 16th June
Book a free 30 minute supportive telephone consultation to confidentially discuss the emotional impact of your role as a Carer and learn tips on how to cope with uncertainty. Daytime and evening appointments are available. Book here Learning to Live Well with Uncertainty - Tuesday 13th June, 12-1pm A talk to help you understand the term ‘ambiguous loss’, and provide strategies for managing uncertainty. This talk is in conjunction with the charity Norfolk Carers, and takes place at The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich NR2 1BH. Drum For Joy – Tuesday 13th June, 7.30-9.30pm A free opportunity to try drumming with drumNorwich, and relax during a drum journey/visualisation. Drumming releases endorphins, enkephalins and alpha waves in the brain, which create general feelings of wellbeing and euphoria. You don’t need your own drum, or to have any musical ability.
