Information collected about you
I collect your personal information if you complete a form on my website, fill out a paper form, send me an email, contact me by telephone, join a mailing list, attend an event, or if you message me on social media or online platforms. It will depend on your own privacy settings on social media to how much information I receive, so be sure you check these first. How I use information about you
Your information is confidential. I (or a therapist registered on this site) may use your personal information to do the following:
Sharing your personal information with third parties
I will only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was obtained in the first place. I won’t sell it or share it with any third parties aside from the therapists registered on this website. However, if in my professional opinion there was an immediate and serious risk that you might harm yourself or someone else, then I/another therapist may have to share your personal information with a third party such as the emergency services, possibly without first obtaining your consent. Only information that is relevant and necessary would be shared. It is possible that your personal information may be requested by a Court of Law, Coroner’s Office or Professional Body in which circumstances you may have limited or no rights of refusal.
Your rights and managing your own data
You are entitled to make a ‘data subject access request’ to receive a copy of your data up until five years after any therapy session with me terminates. Please contact the other therapists on this website regarding their own terms - they also have responsibility for managing your data if you contact them. If you would like to make a request to myself, please contact me and I will arrange to securely send you the information. There is no charge for this. I can refuse the request if your personal information is needed in the defence of exercise of legal claims. You can ask for corrections to be made to the information I hold or for your personal information to be deleted.
