Chloe Swinton is the Founder of Ambiguous Loss UK. She is one of very few Counsellors and Trainers in the UK working in the field of ambiguous loss for over 20 years with extensive experience; providing specialist support and raising awareness. She has undertaken in-depth training and previously had her own personal ambiguous losses which deepened her understanding.
Chloe is a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor who specialises in ambiguous loss. She has worked with people affected by missing, carers, domestic abuse, dementia, stroke, chronic mental health issues and a number of other types of losses. For over 10 years, Chloe provided specialist telephone support at the national charity Missing People, she previously worked as a Counsellor for Norfolk Family Carers, and was a Co-Founder of The Caring Space: Norfolk Carers Counselling.
By nature, Chloe is a warm, empathetic, patient, caring and grounded person. By practicing integratively, she blends elements from different counselling approaches to suit your individual needs. Working holistically, she explores your physical, emotional and spiritual being.
As a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), Chloe is bound by their Code of Ethics. She has a Certificate of Proficiency from the BACP and is listed on their Accredited Register which is approved by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. Chloe has public liability and professional indemnity insurance and a current enhanced DBS check.
