Ambiguous loss is a term not widely known in the UK, but a type of loss that affects most people in some way. We are raising awareness of ambiguous loss in the UK with the aim of bringing support and understanding to people experiencing this kind of living loss. We want to reach those who don’t know where to turn.
TRAINING AND CONSULTANCY
Our Founder Chloe Swinton, has 20 years experience training adults on a variety of topics and has worked as a lead trainer in national and local charities facilitating interactive learning sessions of varying lengths to staff, volunteers, carers and people experiencing ambiguous loss.
Chloe can offer training, talks workshops and consultancy on all aspects of ambiguous loss and shares her unique model to help support those experiencing this loss. Training and expertise in this area is hard to find in the UK, and ambiguous loss is generally not explored on counselling and therapeutic courses. Chloe, a confident speaker in this niche area, has an understanding and sensitive manner.
Consultancy has included talking to journalists, film directors, authors, researchers and students on the topic of ambiguous loss.
In addition to the Navigating Ambiguous Loss: 7-week grief support group Chloe runs, she has previously co-facilitated a six week course for a group of women who had recently left domestic abuse relationships. Chloe has held grief circles in a variety of settings including at festivals, and emotional debrief groups connected with climate loss.
If you are interested in discussing what Chloe can offer on ambiguous loss, either by telephone, online or in Norfolk UK, please get in touch.

TESTIMONIAL
"I have had the privilege of attending two of Chloe's training events, which helped me put into context my own experiences of living with the shadow of ambiguous loss. Chloe brings a huge amount of passion and clarity to the subject, as well as a depth of experience via her work as a specialist therapist working in this area. Ambiguous loss is still a relatively unknown phenomenon in society, however, Chloe is doing important work to raise awareness. You may be experiencing the impact of ambiguous loss in your personal life, or are working with clients who are left with unanswered questions around issues of adoption, missing persons, divorce or a partner/spouse who has Alzheimer's disease or locked-in syndrome etc, if so, then Chloe's therapy or training may be a great help to you. Chloe is a vastly experienced, knowledgeable and heart-centred guide who can ably assist you on your journey to finding answers to the haunting questions that linger with experiences of ambiguous loss." ~ Dr Mick Collins, Transpersonal Occupational Therapist and author
